WOMEN IN THEATRE: What is best practice? | Tuesday 20th April | 7:30pm – 9pm BST
ALL are welcome for a conversation about women’s safety in theatre; a chance to openly interrogate systems and cultures, identify problematic areas and reflect on what might be better working practices in the future.
Time & Location
20 Apr 2021, 19:30 – 21:00
About the Event
In the wake of the killing of Sarah Everard there has been an outpouring of rage and sorrow - it has been a dreadful reminder that we still live in a world where, too often, women are not safe. We extend our solidarity with those who have shared their experiences and raised their concerns over gender-based violence, and we hear these voices as a call to action to challenge the systematic and cultural ‘everyday sexism’ that still exists in theatre as part of wider society, and to work together, however you identify, towards a safer and more inclusive workspace for all.
